After years of silence regarding the three near-death experiences (NDEs) and other spiritually transformative experiences (STEs) I have been graced with, I’m ready to share with you what happened and what I’ve learned.
My NDEs and STEs were both powerful and profound. Friends have often asked me, “Janet, why have you stayed silent for so long?” The answer is always that it simply wasn’t the right time.
People all over the world are now sharing the intimate details of their near-death and spiritually transformative experiences with others. Those of us who have had these experiences are standing up, reassuring the world that the Superior Creator is real and that even though our physical bodies may perish, our spirits live an eternal life—just as the Holy Bible and other religious texts describe. I can attest to this personally, because, during my NDEs, I saw the Divine Source some call God, a Light-being who eventually I realize is Jesus, the Spirit who some call the Holy Spirit, and other heavenly helpers.
I believe that the Divine orchestrates events to happen in our lives at just the right time. After fifteen years of studying NDEs, I finally understand all—or at least most of —what has happened throughout my life. My spiritual adventures began when I was a child when for some reason I knew things about my life I should not have known. Pre-kindergarten, for example, I told my mother I was going to die young. She was not happy! As my little mind contemplated what “a young age” meant, several visions of different ages flashed through my mind. What I didn’t know at the time was that the images I saw were of me—at the ages I was to later experience each of my three NDEs.
Isn’t it interesting such pre-cognitive experiences are referred to in the Bible when Jeremiah describes his first visions and conversations with the Lord God:
In my book, Dying to See, I describe my NDEs and STEs in detail and provide references to passages that amazingly enough are in the Bible to help readers understand the spiritual significance of these experiences although it is much bigger than religions give credit for. For much of my life, I had no idea that these things were in the Bible—but after my third miraculous NDE—which was more spiritually intense than the others—I decided it was time to read scripture. I found so many verses that referred to what I saw or experienced during my NDE, that I saw the Bible in a new light! I’m excited to share my transcendent experiences with you and hope that you will be both inspired and empowered by reading them.
